Location: Derby & Surrounding Areas
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, with occasional weekend work depending on client requirements.
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time / Flexible (depending on client needs)

About the Role
As an Independent Living Support Worker, you will provide non-clinical support to clients living in their own homes across Derby and the surrounding areas.
Support is tailored to each individual and may include:

Providing companionship and emotional support.

Assisting with shopping and collecting prescriptions.
-
Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities.
-
Supporting clients with light household duties, including tidying, laundry and ironing.

Assisting with meal preparation.
-
Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing.
-
Helping clients remain socially active and engaged within their local community.

Keeping accurate records following each visit.

Reporting any concerns promptly to the management team.

Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism and respect at all times.
Please note: Stay Home Options provides non-clinical home support only. This role does not include personal care, medication administration, nursing duties or medical treatment.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
-
Be 18 years of age or over.
-
Have a minimum of two years' professional experience within the health, social care, home support or community care sector.

Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate, or be willing to obtain one before employment.

Hold a full UK driving licence.
-
Have access to a reliable, roadworthy and insured vehicle for work purposes.
-
Live within Derby or the surrounding areas.
-
Be willing and able to travel between clients.
-
Be confident working independently and managing their own workload.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Be compassionate, trustworthy, reliable and professional.
-
Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and have been a resident for more than five years.
Desirable Qualifications
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent).

Experience supporting older adults within the community.

Basic IT skills for completing electronic visit records and communicating with the office.
